Angry Squirrel Studio launches new designs for licensing at SURTEX

Artist Jen Griggs Sebastian excited to debut new art at May 20-22, 2012, in New York City

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Denver, Colo. – March 15, 2012 – Jen Griggs Sebastian, an accomplished pet portrait artist, is excited to debut her whimsical, bright pet art as well as a bold new line of designs at the SURTEX art licensing show. The show, May 20-22, 2012, at the Jacob Javitz Center in the heart of New York City, represents the launching pad for Angry Squirrel Studio, the art licensing and surface design studio that features the art and creations of artist Jen Griggs Sebastian.

The studio in Denver, Colo., has been gearing up by creating new art that will be shown for the first time at SURTEX. New variations on classic themes such as holidays, pets, flowers and food will be part of Sebastian’s offerings, as well as a few fun surprises, including yoga, zodiacs and more.

“Though this is the debut of Angry Squirrel Studio at Surtex as well as to the world, I have been creating custom pet portraits and whimsical dog art for more than 10 years as ScoutDog Studios,” Sebastian says. “I am excited to launch and expand my art offerings after researching licensing trends and learning more about what manufacturers want in the marketplace.”
Angry Squirrel Studio will exhibit five collections at Surtex in Booth #564, May 20-22, 2012. Each one is distinctive in theme and style, including:

ScoutDog Nation

ScoutDog Nation features the original pet paintings and illustrations from ScoutDog Studios and artist Jen Griggs Sebastian. The signature collection from Angry Squirrel Studio is back in a big, bold way and includes dogs, cats and other animals in a variety of themes.

ScoutDog Nation Collection also includes The Dog Table of the EleMUTTs, which features illustrations of the 170- plus dog breeds recognized by the American Kennel Club. The dogs are organized by AKC breed group (Herding, Hound, Non-Sporting, Sporting, Terrier, Toy and Working) in a similar layout and structure to the Periodic Table of the Elements.

ButtonNose Buddies

Inspired by crafts and quilting, the ButtonNose Buddies are cuddly creatures created from the fabric scraps found on the sewing room floor. The collection includes a variety of holiday themes, such as Christmas, Halloween and birthdays.

Little Fat Cats

A silly collection of rolly, polly felines dressed up in various outfits in bright color palettes. The collection includes a variety of themes.

Om So Pretty

Om So Pretty features bold and bright, flowery designs that celebrate everything pretty and lovely.
